Down Syndrome Making Headlines
You probably know my 16-month-old son, Cole, has Down syndrome. Governor Sarah Palin's infant son, Trig, also has Down syndrome. In light of Senator John McCain naming Governor Palin as his running mate, many people, especially reporters, have asked me how I balance being a Congresswoman with being a mother of a child with special needs.
